There is power in the written word.
I’m not referring to the power that allows us, the writer, to shape opinions, to inform and entertain, to build up or to tear down. I mean the power of creation. To bring a character to life; to shape that character into who you want it to be; to put your words into their mouth. Then to place that creation into a world of your own devising.
It’s a heady power.
You become the sovereign Creator in your universe, divinely writing something into existence or erasing it from existence.
And not once do those little ingrates ever say thank you!
